The fastener - supplied assembled and adapted for the required grip range - is put in through a hole in the panel and secured against loss by a retaining washer.
The receptacle is attached to the frame centrally under the through hole by means of rivets or screws.
Function
To close, turn the fastener 90° to the right under firm axial pressure. This causes the cross pin of the bolt to ride up on the cam of the receptacle, engages in a notch and lead to a positive connection.
To open, the stud is turned 90° to the left, whereby the cross pin of the bolt is disengaged and pushed out of the receptacle by the unbending of the belleville spring washer.
