QUICKSERT® Hex - self-tapping threaded insert with hexagonal bore, for insertion into plastics

The QUICKSERT® Hex consists of a cylindrical body with an internal thread, a hexagonal driving bore and a special outer thread. The outer thread profile has an extremely low pitch angle which increases asymmetrically towards the root of the thread.

efficient assembly thanks to driver shape
reduced radial stressing due to extra small pitch angle
enables installation with a low screwing torque
for thermoplastics and thermosets
hand-held screwdriver PANTHER® with automatic feeding
high load-bearing, torsion-resistant thread

Product optimization in self-tapping QUICKSERT®
The benefits of QUICKSERT® have led to considerably increased use in large-volume plastic components.

Automotive:
General Industry:
sunroof frames, air-conditioner housings, …
ATMs, photocopiers, …

BUT – nothing is so good that it can’t be improved:
1. additional hexagon socket across the entire length of threads
2. automatic processing
QUICKSERT® M6 x 15,4
Air-conditioner housing (PP talcum)
QUICKSERT® M3 and M4
ca. 60 pieces per housing
1. Hexagon socket
The hexagon socket is manufactured in the thread insert manufacturing process.
In the process, segments of the tapped thread are left out.

Benefits:

Option:
massive time savings (ca. 2/3)
reduced danger of injury (manual insertion)

outside left thread (1= turn-back protection)
2. Automatic processing
The basis of the processing concept is formed by our feed screwdriver model PANTHER® (rod design + feed). In order to prevent tilting and thereby possible diagonal insertion of QUICKSERT®, a parallel arm is urgently recommended.

Key data:Max. torque: 5Nm (~ to M6)
Feed: 15 – 50 mm
Speed: ca. 1000 1/min.
