| HES (heated tool welding) is a tried-and-tested method for installing metal threaded inserts in thermoplastic mouldings. This is a one-phase process in which contact heat is transmitted via the metal insert to the joining zone of the plastic moulding. the two parts are joined as the plastic material melts around the contact area. The plasticized material is displaced into defined recesses and undercuts to produce a positive connection.
Suitable Böllhoff threaded inserts: HITSERT® 2, HITSERT® 3 and SONICSERT® |
